PNG is what you want for LinkedIn, Slack, Teams and anywhere else you're uploading a picture. SVG is the source — it's plain text, so if you want to swap the wording for your own company's phrasing, open it in any editor and change the words. That's allowed and encouraged.
One ask, not a rule: leave the dontpastethat.com footer on. It's the only thing that turns a poster someone glanced at into a page they can actually read.
LinkedIn, Slack and most other platforms crop profile pictures to a circle. The badge is built for that — everything sits inside the safe zone, and the background bleeds to the edge so you never get a stray corner.
Upload the PNG, not the SVG. Profile picture uploads don't accept SVG anywhere worth mentioning.
